Rio Text Offers

Posted on 03 April 2009

rio_logo.gifThe Rio is testing an opt-in mobile marketing campaign that sends customers text message alerts for real-time promotions to their cell phone during their stay at the hotel-casino.

Here is how it works: visitors to the Rio text message the word “Rio” to 227466.  The customer will then receive no more than 12 text messages during the next four days, the average length of a visitor’s stay.

The customer also can send “stop” to the same number to halt the flow of messages.

The messages alert the customer to special deals, usually drink, food or show tickets at a discount.

I received offers for:

10% off the bill at Cafe Martorano

Buy 1 drink get 1 free at i-Bar

2-for-1  premium drinks at McFadden’s

2-for-1 Tickets to Penn & Teller

2 free admissions to the Eiffel Tower Experience

1 free admission to VooDoo Lounge

2 free tickets to Donn Arden’s Jubilee at Bally’s

$10 off the Village Seafood Buffet
