Neon Museum Boneyard Event to Take Place December 29th

neon-museum.jpgThe Neon Museum Boneyard will be open to the public from 10 am to 4 pm – Saturday, December 29th. Museum volunteers and staff will be giving 1/2 hour long guided tours of the Boneyard on the hour – 11:00 am, 12 noon, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm.

The collection of non-restored historic signs are kept outdoors on a 3 acre site in Las Vegas. The signs have been donated or loaned by individuals, businesses and sign companies.

The admission cost is $5.00 per person. No reservations are required to attend this event. Photography welcomed for personal use.

The Neon Museum Boneyard is located at 777 Las Vegas Blvd N, Las Vegas, NV 89101. For more information and directions call 702-387-6366 prior to the date of the event.

When you are finished with the Boneyard Tour, you may want to check out more refurbished signs downtown. These refurbished signs are available for viewing 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

The first group of signs can be found near the intersection of Fremont Street Experience and Las Vegas Boulevard and consist of:

  • The Horse and Rider from the old Hacienda Hotel (Las Vegas Blvd & Fremont St )
  • Aladdin’s Lamp from the old Aladdin Hotel (northwest corner of Fremont St & Las Vegas Blvd)
  • The Flame Restaurant sign (southwest corner of Fremont St & Las Vegas Blvd)
  • Chief Hotel Court sign (northeast corner of Fremont St& 4th St)
  • Andy Anderson sign -the Anderson Dairy mascot (southeast corner of Fremont St & 4th St)

The rest are displayed on the 3rd Street cul-de-sac adjacent to The Fremont Street Experience canopy.
