Local comedians perform to a packed house at the LA Comedy Club
Posted on 26 December 2007
Six of us were treated to a thoroughly enjoyable show at Palace Station’s LA Comedy Club tonight. This club is fairly new and has increased in popularity each time I have attended over the past few months. For the first time, I saw a packed house tonight and the crowd was rewarded with a great show.
Two new comedians perform each week and currently appearing are Don Barnhart and Gary Caouette.
As soon as Gary starts talking you know he’s from New England. You can’t miss the accent and that’s part of his charm. He lives locally and his humor played very well with the audience that had a large number of locals. His references to stereotypical clientèle of many of the casinos was right on and hilarious.
The final performer was another Las Vegas resident, Don Barnhart – winner of the 2007 American Idol Comedy Contest. Don’s comedy is accented with his unique physical facial and body expressions and fast paced observations. He interacts well with the audience, bringing them into his performance.
Our tickets for tonight’s show were free through the Show Tickets 4 Locals progam, but I noticed the Palace Station marquee was advertising free tickets for the show were available in the casino’s Cabo mexican restaurant as well. Another good source for discount tickets to this show is the Radio Shopping Show.
Check out the LA Comedy Club when you want to get out and laugh.
