fremontstreetexperiencelogo.jpgFremont Street Experience presents an all-new show, “The Doors – Strange Days in Vegas,” as it joins the evening lineup of light-and-sound spectacles displayed nightly on the Viva Vision screen.  Featuring legendary hits  “Break On Through (To The Other Side),” “Roadhouse Blues” and “People Are Strange,” this show embodies much of what made late 1960s through early 1970s rock music so iconic.

This original show offers visitors to Fremont Street Experience a symbolic and colorful montage of the greatness of Jim Morrison and The Doors. Much of the live footage used in the show was provided by The Doors and comes from a rare performance at the Hollywood Bowl in 1968. The show features aspects of film, jazz and spirituality that The Doors combined to form their unique style of rock music.

Viva Vision shows run from 8 pm through midnight on weekdays and 8 pm – 1 am on Fridays & Saturdays.  The current lineup is:

  • 8 pm – “Don McLean’s American Pie”
  • 9 pm – “The Doors – Strange Days in Vegas”
  • 10 pm – “A Tribute to Queen”
  • 11 pm – “KISS Over Vegas”
  • 12 am – “Signs of Life by John Van Hamersveld” (Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays) or “George Thorogood’s Bad To The Bone” (Mondays, Wednesdays)
  • 1 am (Fridays & Saturdays only) – “George Thorogood’s Bad To The Bone”

Mojo Rising, a popular Doors cover band, will add to the festivities nightly through April 25, playing hits from the bands extensive and iconic catalog from 8 – 11 pm on the 1st Street Stage adjacent to Golden Nugget and Binion’s.

All events are free.
