Las Vegas New Year’s Eve: Monorail Special Hours & Discount Price

las vegas fireworks new years eveApproximately 300,000 revelers are expected to descend on the Strip this New Year’s Eve to party and view the fireworks at midnight. Even though the Strip will close to vehicles and buses on New Year’s Eve, the Las Vegas Monorail will operate from 7am until 3am on its regular route from the MGM Grand to the Sahara. The monorail will be the only real transportation option to use to sample all the various parties and events happening on the Strip. Even better, they are offering the $15 all-day pass for only $9.

Nevada Resident Tickets

Discount tickets for Nevada residents are available at all of the Monorail’s customer service booths upon presentation of your valid Nevada driver’s license, state of Nevada government-issued identification card or Nevada Sheriff’s card. Maximum purchase: two (2) single ride tickets per person $1 each.
