Keeping Safe on New Year’s Eve

Posted on 29 December 2008

newyearscrowd.JPGNew Year’s Eve on the Las Vegas Strip means crowds! Packed across the strip like sardines type crowds. While you are enjoying yourself and ringing in the New Year, be sure to keep your wits about you as you navigate the massive crowd.

You may not know this, but the Strip hotels close their doors to those not staying on property, so be sure to have a plan in advance if you have a specific place you want to go. If you park in a hotel parking structure at a property in which you are not staying, you will most likely not be able to enter through the hotel until sometime well after 1am to access the parking garage.

To see the fireworks, you’ll want to be out of the hotel by 11 pm, because the huge crush of revelers will be crowding the elevators and every crevice of the property. Be sure to keep close attention to your purse or wallet – better yet – take only what’s absolutely necessary.
