Ice Skating at Lake Las Vegas Discount

Through February 14, 2011, The Village at Lake Las Vegas Resort is the place to go to skate on an ice rink floating on a lake surrounded by a unique setting.

Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $12 for children.  (Discount Ice Skating coupons are now available in the information center at Lake Las Vegas.)  For more information, call (702) 564-1600 or (800) 564-1603.

HOURS: Monday through Friday 3 to 9 pm.  Sat, Sun, school vacations and holidays 12 to 9 pm.

    not worth the $15. first, there is a roof over the rink (conveniently cut off from the picture) which makes it more like skating on a small covered dock on a lake than skating on frozen pond. rink is small which can be “forgiven” since most outdoor rinks i’ve been to are small but the orange cones on the ice are unforgivable. these were used by little kids to go around which can become real skating hazards for others (besides, is leaning forward really the best way to learn anyway???). ice surface also looked rough and it was towards the first hour or so of public skating when hardly anyone was there. first/last visit: 1/1/2011. i have a picture to support what i just wrote.
