Free Entertainment at Vegas Cruise Classic Car Show

As part of Fremont Street Experience’s “Summer of the `70s,” this weekend is the annual Vegas Cruise car show running from Friday, June 4the through Sunday, June 6th. The weekend will feature a free live concert from legendary band Sweet, a free car show and plenty of ’70s-themed fun.
Rock group Sweet will perform on Saturday, June 5 at 9 pm on the 1st Street Stage playing a free open-to-the- public concert at the Fremont Street Experience. With such memorable songs as “Ballroom Blitz,” “Fox on the Run” and “Love is Like Oxygen,” Sweet brings back ’70s rock music memories.
For classic car enthusiasts, a free car show will take place all weekend long from 9 am to 5 pm on Friday and Saturday and from 8 am to 12 pm on Sunday. The vast display of over 200 pre-1972 cars will stretch over the five blocks of the Fremont Street Experience and will feature many rare, classic cars including a ’70s icon 1974 Chevrolet Camaro as well as the ultimate classic car, a Ford Model-T. All visitors to Vegas Cruise will have an opportunity to vote on their favorite rides in such categories as “People’s Choice” and “Ladies’ Choice” as the car owners compete for cash and prizes.
The Devonshires will be on hand for the duration of Vegas Cruise to keep the place rockin’ with their “Classic Rock Spectacular” tribute show. The Devonshires will play ’70s hits from June 3-6 on the 3rd Street Stage at 9 pm for Fremont Street Experience visitors.
The music and culture from the decade of the 1970s will be featured downtown Las Vegas this summer as Fremont Street Experience presents the “Summer of the ’70s” festival and free concert series. The 102-day promotion kicked off Memorial Day Weekend and runs through Labor Day Weekend.
Fremont Street Experience is a five-block entertainment complex located in historic downtown Las Vegas.
