People actually Booed Steve Wyrick after he exited the helicopter. It was a very disappointing performance. First, they started late which meant standing for a long time. Then they seemed amateurish and unprepared. There was no setup for the stunt. Most of the audience had no idea what he was attempting or what was happening. How could a professional magician blow the setup?
Steve was placed into a metal box behind a curtain (or was he?) that could not be seen. Then it was pretty obvious that he was in the red ambulance parked next to the metal box that moved away slowly. The platform never even left the ground or plunged to the spikes. The announcer (Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington) at one point said "something is happening", which was his most descriptive comment. If the stunt had gone wrong or really was this lame is unknown. Wyrick may have had no idea that the box never left the ground since he left early. Would have been a real act if the audience could actually see him placed in the box and still see him as it was hoisted.

I don't think that Wyrick will sell any show tickets to any of the people (or their friends) he subjected to this really bad act. He might have been able to salvage this botched PR stunt if he had apologized to the audience and explained that they had some technical difficulties.

To make things worse, Planet Hollywood forced the audience into a "box Canyon" forcing everyone to exit via the casino. Making it really hard to exit to get a view of Ceasar's Fireworks.

Anyone standing on the strip only saw him land. The chest was never raised off the ground. It was a waste of 2 hours and caused a lot of people to miss the fireworks.

Steve Wyrick must of had a problem with the act since there is no possible way to rehearse, where he had his backup plan, appearing in the helicopter. That's my opinion on why he never dropped or even got in the air.
