The Clark County Library is hosting An Evening with Tom Breitling Wednesday, May 7th at 7 pm in the Jewel Box Theater.

Tom will be talking about his new book, Double or Nothing – Risking It All in Las Vegas.

Tom Breitling was a naïve Midwesterner who never saw a $100 bill until he went to college. Once there he met Tim Poster, a streetwise teenager, who grew up in Las Vegas. Their partnership was sealed during the dot.com boom when they formed an online travel business that made them millions. Not content with this, they decided to bet it all on a risky dream: owning a Vegas casino. Purchasing the Golden Nugget, they returned it to its former glory and began luring high rollers from the Strip to their downtown location. After nearly losing it all, they sold the casino for a whopping $130 million profit! Join us as Breitling talks about trust, partnerships, the fast paced world of business in Las Vegas and of being one of the youngest casino owners in Vegas.
