$250,000 Game Show Spectacular

I opened up my computer to check my email yesterday morning around 11:30 am and waiting for me were several show offers from ShowTickets4Locals. I picked out a 3 pm show, called in and reserved a ticket for the $250,000 Game Show Spectacular at the Hilton.
Three legendary game show hosts, Chuck Woolery of “Love Connection,” Bob Eubanks of “The Newlywed Game” and Jamie Farr of “The Gong Show” and “M*A*S*H” alternate hosting the show, which features some of America’s most beloved games. Yesterday’s show was hosted by Bob Eubanks.
When you enter the showroom, you are given a ticket with a number on it. If that number is drawn later in the show you get to become a contestant. They also give prizes and pick contestants from the audience based on enthusiasm.
For an hour or so, we were participants and audience members in the old game shows, like the Newlywed Game, the Gong Show, many other favorites. We were also shown old clips from familiar game shows. Prizes for winners and consolation prizes for other participants were cash in the range of $50-$300 and show tickets to other shows at the Hilton, like Barry Manilow and the Scintas, or dining at Hilton restaurants.
More than 50 members of the audience received prizes. The $250,000 Game Show Spectacular boasts that they give away more than $50,000 each week in cash and prizes. One audience member had have the chance to win $250,000 and if they did win the grand prize, every audience member with a valid ticket would have also won $100.
It’s fun to see the old clips from the game shows, see the game show hosts and who knows, maybe win some money or show tickets.
