Free Kids Workshop at Home Depot

Home Depot offers FREE hands-on Kids Workshop sessions for 5-12 year olds on the first Saturday of each month between 9 am and noon.
These workshops allow for quality one-on-one time between adults and children. As part of the workshops kids receive useful projects, a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates’ aprons, and an achievement pin for completion, and it’s all FREE.

This month’s “Friday Night Live” free concerts will take place each week from 7 to 10pm lakeside at MonteLago Village Resort at Lake Las Vegas.

Each Friday evening a selection of pop, rock, soul, country or classic rock live music is performed in The Village on the lawn lakeside. Bring your friends and make a memorable evening. Blankets and chairs are welcome, but no coolers.

Free Performance: Country Singer Gary Morris

Friday, September 3rd at 8 pm, catch country music entertainer, Gary Morris at the Henderson Events Plaza. Admission is free.
Award-winning country music singer, Gary Morris, performs hits like “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “Baby Bye Bye” and “100% Chance Of Rain”. Morris has performed on the historic stage of the Grand Ole Opry, White House and for the Queen of England. He also performed on Broadway in Les Miserables as the heroic lead character, “Jean Valjean”. Morris sang a masterful rendition of the ballad, “With One More Look At You”, for the comeback performance of Olympic gold medalist figure skater, Scott Hamilton, after his battle with cancer, which was televised on CBS.

KGB: Kerry’s Gourmet Burgers at Harrah’s Las Vegas Hosts Restaurant Week Soiree Benefitting Three Square

In celebration of the fourth annual Restaurant Week, Kerry Simon is hosting an event at his newest restaurant, KGB: Kerry’s Gourmet Burgers on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. Guests will be treated to signature samplings of his famous Iron Chef sliders, Captain Crunch milkshake, specialty cocktails, desserts and more. Donations of $20 to benefit Three Square will be collected upon entry.
Restaurant Week is a weeklong celebration of fine dining which includes more than 80 participating restaurants in Las Vegas, all offering pre-fixe meals at special prices to benefit Three Square Food Bank, established to end hunger in Southern Nevada. All guests must be 21 years and older.

If you’d like to wander around the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas for free, register at this link.
The 2011 CES show takes place January 6-9, 2011 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and the free Exhibits Plus Pass will give you access to the floor exhibits as well as keynote addresses, SuperSessions, TechZones, and more.
You’ll be asked for a company name when signing up, but there’s no verification in person. Just your ID is required or a printout of your verification letter.
You must register by Sept. 30 in order to receive your free pass.

Free Pass to Global Gaming Expo

If you’d like a free exhibit pass to this year’s Global Gaming Expo, fill out the form at this link. The G2E Expo takes place November 16-18 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
G2E focuses on upcoming casino games, primarily slot machines. You’ll be able to see and play the latest in technology from all the slot manufacturers before they hit the casinos. Some games are prototypes that won’t be released for another couple years.
The form will ask you for information you may not have. You can simply make it up, as you’ll be emailed a barcode and only need to take that to the registration counter to scan in exchange for a paper badge and holder.
